President Trump isn’t playing games with Communist China.

Trump on Tuesday responded to China’s announcement of 50% tariffs on U.S. goods with a crushing 104% tariff on goods imported to the U.S. from the communist country, effective immediately.

According to Fox Business, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dropped the bombshell on Tuesday, confirming that the tariffs kicked in at noon Eastern time. Why? Because China’s commie overlords refused to back down from their own retaliatory duties on American goods.

According to FOX Business Network’s Edward Lawrence, the White House made the move swiftly and decisively.

Leavitt said the 104% additional tariff will be collected starting today, April 9th.

Leavitt said it was a mistake for China to retaliate with higher tariffs, because President Trump has “a spine of steel, and he will not break, and America will not break under his leadership.”

The Gateway Pundit reported earlier that the Chinese Communist Party is throwing a full-blown tantrum, vowing to “fight to the end” after President Donald Trump delivered a righteous ultimatum: retract your outrageous 34% retaliatory tariff on American goods by April 8, or face a devastating 50% tariff wall from the United States starting April 9.

Terry Adirim, a senior CIA and former senior defense official who played a pivotal and potentially illegal role in the Biden administration’s military vaccine mandate, was recently fired from the agency, a source has revealed to Breitbart News.

Adirim, a former senior Biden appointee at the Department of Defense who was performing the duties of the assistant secretary of defense for health affairs, had decamped in December to the CIA as director of CIA Centers for Global Health Services until about a week ago, according to the source.

Her firing was related to her role in forcing service members to choose between taking a vaccine that was under Emergency Use Authorization or being kicked out, according to the source.

On September 14, 2021, about a month after then-Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered the vaccine mandate, Adirim issued a memo instructing DOD healthcare providers to consider the vaccine available to service members, Pfizer’s BioNTech vaccine, as “interchangeable” with a vaccine that was approved by the FDA, known as Comirnaty.

Her memo was considered legally dubious even inside the Pentagon, as Breitbart News reported in September 2022.

A month after Adirim issued her memo, a senior defense official proposed allowing service members who did not want to take the EUA vaccine to wait for the FDA-approved vaccine before facing punishment for being unvaccinated but she rejected that recommendation out of hand.

The U.S. government has long told the public that a mercury-based vaccine preservative called thimerosal poses no harm to children but that, out of an abundance of caution, the ingredient hasn’t been included in childhood vaccines since at least 2001.

According to an investigation by independent journalist Sharyl Attkisson, both these claims are now proven false. 

Attkisson described them as part of “a concerted propaganda campaign to mislead the public” about thimerosal and the science linking it to autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.

Attkisson’s investigation highlights how government agencies, along with the mainstream medical and media establishment, colluded for decades to promote a false narrative about the toxic chemical.

On the one hand, they misled the public about its known and possible harms and actively worked to discredit anyone who questioned its safety. On the other hand, they falsely assured the public that it had been removed from vaccines. Anyone who stated otherwise was branded a conspiracy theorist.

The fact is, thimerosal is still used today in some vaccines, Attkisson said.

Her report shows that evidence linking the chemical to neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism, has existed for decades. It also exposes an intentional project to rewrite the scientific narrative around the toxin to hide that link from the public.

Websites for the CDC, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a key source for vaccine industry propaganda promoted by Google, and others have long posted statements leading the public to believe thimerosal had been removed from children’s vaccines years ago.

For example, the CDC still has false statements like this on its website: “Fact: Thimerosal was taken out of childhood vaccines in the United States in 2001.”

Attkisson shows a series of screenshots from websites and vaccine labels, many removed from the internet but archived on the Wayback Machine, from 1999, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2009, 2010, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025.

The screenshots all show thimerosal as an ingredient in vaccines available to children in the U.S., including in flu shots and some tetanus shots.

President Trump got another huge win from the Supreme Court Tuesday.

The Supreme Court has granted the Trump administration’s request for the high court to pause a lower court’s ruling that would have required the administration to rehire thousands of federal workers who had been fired. 

The Supreme Court’s docket stated that the application for stay that had been presented to Justice Elena Kagan and referred to the Court was granted. The preliminary injunction issued by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California has been paused as an appeal in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit plays out. 

“The District Court’s injunction was based solely on the allegations of the nine non-profit-organization plaintiffs in this case. But under established law, those allegations are presently insufficient to support the organizations’ standing,” the docket stated. “This order does not address the claims of the other plaintiffs, which did not form the basis of the District Court’s preliminary injunction.” The docket entry stated that both Justice Sonia Sotomayor and Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson would have denied the administration’s application.

The eliminated jobs affected mostly probationary workers who had been recently hired under Joe Biden.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Monday told reporters that he plans to tell the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to stop recommending fluoride in drinking water.

The statement occurred in Utah, which recently became the first state to ban fluoride in public drinking water, despite pushback from associations representing dentists and health organizations. 

Kennedy also said he was assembling a task force to further research the issue, per the Associated Press. 

The comment comes the same day that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced it was reviewing new scientific information about the risks of mixing fluoride with drinking water. Fluoride is primarily touted in dentistry as an additive that helps strengthen teeth and reduce cavities. But it also stunts the brain development of children and leads to a lowering of IQs, multiple studies have shown.

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said:

“When this evaluation is completed, we will have an updated foundational scientific evaluation that will inform the agency’s future steps. Secretary Kennedy has long been at the forefront of this issue. His advocacy was instrumental in our decision to review fluoride exposure risks and we are committed to working alongside him, utilizing sound science as we advance our mission of protecting human health and the environment.”

A flurry of court filings hit the docket this week in the Justice Department’s case against Ryan Routh, revealing bombshell new details about Routh’s activities in the months leading up to his alleged assassination attempt against Donald Trump last September.

Included in the revelations: Routh tried to buy military weapons, including a rocket launcher and a stinger missile, from his contacts in Ukraine just weeks before his assassination attempt on Trump.

Along with several other motions, the DOJ filed a notice about the evidence it intends to introduce about Routh’s alleged plans to kill Trump. According to that DOJ motion, Routh used aliases, he was in touch with a human smuggler in Mexico about an escape plan, and he attempted to buy a .50 caliber sniper rifle in late August.

The DOJ’s motion states that Routh was in touch with the Mexican smuggler, identified in court records only as “Ramiro,” since at least February 2024, when they discussed smuggling an Afghan family into the U.S.

The DOJ motion says:

“While this February chat involved smuggling others, it is necessary context for how that same chat evolved on September 13th and 14th, the two days before Routh set up his sniper hide at Trump International, when he contacted Ramiro for the first time since February 29.”

On those two days, the DOJ says Routh told Ramiro that he would be in Mexico City in the days immediately after September 15, with Ramiro responding that he would see Routh then and that he was located four hours outside of Mexico City and with Routh replying that he would call Ramiro once he knew for sure whether he’d meet him, something Routh planned through extensive web searches about travel to Mexico.

Apparently, Routh’s contact with the Mexican smuggler was just one element of his escape plan. The DOJ also said in its motion that Routh used stolen license plates, burner phones, and aliases.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox put a stop to his state’s drive toward transacting business using gold, the Salt Lake City Tribune reports.

The governor vetoed HB306, sponsored by Republican State Rep. Ken Ivory, a bill that would have hired a company to set up a system that would enable the state to pay vendors using gold or silver, if that’s how the vendors choose to be paid.

The payment system was envisioned as the next step along Utah’s road to gold. The state had already purchased about $60 million worth of gold as of the end of the legislative session under a bill Ivory sponsored last year and is on pace to put about $140 million of the state’s emergency funds into the precious metal.

This year Ivory wanted to set up the payment system under the Utah State Treasurer’s office to pave the way for gold to be used as a standard currency when transacting business with the state.

The bill passed with overwhelming margins in both the Utah state House and Senate.

But Cox vetoed the bill on March 31, saying that hiring a vendor to build a system that is fully integrated into the state’s accounting system raises “significant problems that make HB306 operationally impracticable.”

The Utah Eagle Forum sent an email blast to members urging them to contact legislators and override Cox’s veto. It would take two-thirds support in both the House and Senate to convene an override session and reverse the veto.

The conservative advocacy group said Utahns should have the option of using gold, although it only extends the choice to vendors with state contracts. The Eagle Forum also said that using gold fights inflation.

A top U.S. military officer at NATO’s Brussels headquarters has been fired by President Trump.

Two NATO officials and a diplomat from a NATO country told Politico that the U.S. representative to the NATO Military Committee, Navy Vice Admiral Shoshana Chatfield, has been relieved of her duties. Chatfield is one of a few female Navy three-star officers and was the first woman to lead the Naval War College. She held that position until 2023. 

The officials did not say why she was fired, though a source told Reuters that Chatfield’s removal may be related to the Pentagon’s crackdown on DEI initiatives. 

In comments made when she started as president of the Naval War College in 2019, which resurfaced and received backlash in 2023, Chatfield said, “I want to see members of this team offer each other respect for differences, for diversity, for the dialogue from which ideas and collaboration emerge.”

In February 2023, former President Joe Biden nominated Chatfield for the role at NATO. A 2023 Daily Signal report stated that Chatfield’s LinkedIn account said, “Talks about #navalaviation and #dei.” 

Another post from Chatfield said, “looking forward to seeing robust attendance by Naval Aviation leaders at the CNAF DEI Summit this year! Interested in learning more about ALLY-ship? … See you in San Diego!”

ALLY-ship was the theme of the 2022 conference, and one Navy officer said in a press release that the phrase means “if I’m going to have the audacity to lead, then I have to be bold in bringing people into the team.” Another said, “ally-ship is a key enabler for building inclusive teams.”

Time now for our nightly Worldview Report commentary.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) announced Monday they will not renew 50-year-old contracts with the U.S. federal government to provide children's services and refugee resettlement services.

This comes after the Trump administration killed all funding to the USCCB, which is one of the largest refugee resettlement agencies in the world.

The USCCB, operating under sub-contracting agreements with Catholic Charities, got paid on a per-head basis by the U.S. State Department for every refugee it resettled into the United States. They have brought in millions over the last 35 years from Muslim countries that hate us, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Somalia, Sudan and Uzbekistan, among others.

Now that they’ve lost their government money, they say they’re no longer interested in the refugee resettlement business in America. This proves it was never about helping refugees. It was about raking in the federal dollars. 

Shame on the U.S. Catholic Bishops for ever getting into this shady business, which in many ways resembles human trafficking.

Let’s pray that the other religious nonprofits engaged in this business will likewise give up and close their doors. That includes nonprofits tied to the Lutherans, the Episcopalians, the Evangelicals and the Jews. They’re all involved in refugee resettlement for hire. And they all sign a pledge never to evangelize the refugees. 

We’ll see how dedicated they are to refugees once they get unhooked from the federal gravy train.
